Committee Meetings are made of up two Port of Tacoma Commissioners to allow for extra oversight to a specific Port process. There is no quorum; therefore, there are no final decisions made in any Committee Meeting. All final decisions are brought to the full five-member public Commission Meeting for deliberation and a vote, which includes Public Comment. As such, Committee Meetings are held virtually and are not open public meetings. However, to provide additional transparency, these meetings are recorded and available here for the public to view, along with all of the meeting materials.
The Port of Tacoma currently has one standing committee, which is the Audit Committee. The Audit Committee meets an average of two to three times per year as oversight to our Finance Department’s internal and external audits performed by Moss Adams, LLP and the Washington State Auditor’s Office.
